SAFETY over summer was the message being pushed by community leaders last weekend during an information day at Autumn Place in Doveton.
The Doveton Eumemmerring Neighbourhood Renewal (DENR) Crime and Safety Action Group organised the event, with help from the City of Casey and Victoria Police.
Autumn Place traders also played a major part in the day which is one of many initiatives established to revitalise the shopping and community precinct.
Locals were treated to a free barbecue lunch as well as receiving tips on community safety, neighbourhood renewal information and a health and wellbeing advice stall.
