Little athletes track trophies

NARRE Warren Little Athletics Club had its annual general meeting and trophy presentation on Thursday, bringing to an end a very successful 2007-2008 track-and-field season.
Club president Steve Fenton welcomed members to the evening and along with Dandenong Little Athletics Centre (DLAC) president Des Platten asked guests and members to take a moment to remember recently deceased DLAC life member Chas Davis.
Platten chaired the AGM and Fenton was re-elected as president and a new committee was formed.
Narre Warren life member Margaret Lowe, along with her son and past athlete Gavin Lowe, were on hand to present the Don Lowe Junior Club Person award to Stefanie Fenton.
State representatives Stefanie Fenton, Maddison Fenton, Christopher Fenton, Amy Burren, Sarah Burren, Ashley Albert, Katelyn Cox and Ethan Cornford were presented with a special club medal for their efforts this season.
A new perpetual award was presented, The Farley Family Award for the best first year boy and girl.
Under-six boy Joshua Booker and under-eight girl Michaela Cornford were the inaugural winners.
Six-year service award recipients were Cassie Knowles, Brandon Knowles and Emily Di Carlo.
The Hendy Family Award, adult club person winner was Kerry Fenton.
Life member Greg Farley presented Kerry, along with husband, club president Steve Fenton, with life memberships in recognition of their outstanding service to the club over the years.
First place age group winners were Stefanie Fenton, Rhea Ferrier, Maddison Fenton, Katelyn Cox, Kylie Lawson, Michaela Cornford, Briana Napoleon, Raven Wills, Hayden Egerton, Kane Denmead, Ethan Cornford, Christopher Fenton, James Burren, Jake Johansson and Joshua Booker.
Second place age group winners were Amy Burren, Tiarnii Savage, Megan Fisher, Stephanie Clayton, Hayley Coad, Bridget Dilorenzo, Emma Bloomfield, Jayden Denmead, Christopher Sherry, Luke Coad, James Veitch, James Dilorenzo, Matthew Craig and Cameron Mur.
Star award winners were Holly Webber, Melina McCallum-O’Dea, Sarah Burren, Emily Di Carlo, Emily Dilorenzo, Jonathon Ergnini, Luke Warren and Matthew Xuereb.
Participation award recipients were Ashleigh Cox, Annalyce Dunn, Kate Brown, Ashley Albert, Cassie Knowles, Shelby Webber, Keneisha Noronha, Monica Ergnini, Susanne Bourchier, Tara Xuereb, Vanessa Warren, Claudia Heeger, Terry Jepson, Brandon Knowles, Marlee Noronha, Thomas Di Carlo, Kieran Tucker, Ryan Coad, Denilson Noronha, Nikola Ilic, Jesse Egerton, Mason Heeger, Tycen Heeger and Lucas Noronha.
