STUDENTS at Southern Cross Primary School have been busy learning about people who help the community.
Last Tuesday, Senior Constable Mark Van Suylen of Endeavour Hills police visited the school to speak to students about the role police play in the local community.
Grade one and two students took a look at a police car, tried on some uniforms and learnt about becoming a police officer.
The Endeavour Hills school will also have visits from ambulance drivers and a pilot, and last week the fire brigade came with an engine to talk to students.
