POLICE are investigating a collision in Doveton on Tuesday night that left a man trapped in a car by his legs.
Senior Constable Martin Read of Endeavour Hills police said the collision occurred about 8.45pm along Kidds Road when a Holden Commodore had a minor collision with another car.
He said the driver of the Commodore then lost control of his car and collided side on with a power pole.
The Beaconsfield man, aged in his early 30s, was taken to the Dandenong Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Sen Const Read said police were now investigating the collision.
The Dandenong Fire Brigade Rescue crew freed the man from the car within 40 minutes after a side door and roof were removed and his feet released.
The Hallam CFA provided fire protection under the control of fire officer Kerry Phillips.
