LOCAL mums have been urged to grab their walking gear, stroller and families and take part in a fun event to celebrate being a mum in Casey.
Mothers, bubs and families have been encouraged to roll up to the City of Casey’s Greatest Pram Stroll on Saturday 7 October at 10am.
Held at Berwick’s Wilson Botanic Park, Casey mayor Kevin Bradford said the free event was part of the various World’s Greatest Pram Stroll activities to celebrate motherhood, socialising and getting active.
“Last year was the first year Casey has held this event, and this year we are looking to build on its success and encourage as many mums and families as possible to take part,” Cr Bradford said.
The family fun day includes children’s entertainment and a group walk around the stunning park.
Walkers are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch as barbecue and picnic facilities are available, and the Friends of Wilson Botanic Park will also hold a sausage sizzle on the day. The event is being organised by the Mothers of Casey Alliance (MOCA) group in partnership with the City of Casey, Wilson Botanic Park, YMCA and Playgroup Victoria.
