SOUTHERN Cross Primary School in Endeavour Hills has been busy collecting coins to raise money for cancer research.
All funds raised were donated to teacher Lynn Francis who took part in the Relay for Life Run Walk last weekend to raise funds for the disease.
The school community supported the event by making donations, with about $300 raised.
Relay For Life is an overnight team event that raises funds for cancer research, education and patient support programs.
The challenge is for teams of 10 or more to complete a relaystyle walk or run at selected venues throughout Australia.
