THE Jaws of Life were used to free a trapped man last week following a two-car collision in Narre Warren.
Pakenham SES volunteer road rescue crews were called to the corner of Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road and Saxonwood Drive in Narre Warren on Wednesday afternoon, 27 September.
The 44-year-old Narre Warren man was freed after rescuers cut the back door and the B-pillar from the Toyota Rav4.
The other car involved, a Toyota Land Cruiser, ended up about 25 metres away from the Rav4, but the driver, a 25-year-old Narre Warren man was not injured.
Police this week said the collision was still under investigation and no charges had been laid.
The driver of the Rav-4 was taken to The Alfred hospital suffering serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries.
Pakenham Road Rescue Unit volunteers spent more than 30 minutes clearing the scene.
