Sin City has again been invaded by terrorists and it’s up to the crack Rainbow Six team to bring them down.
A follow-up to Ubisoft’s critically acclaimed Rainbow Six Vegas, the sequel offers more of the same great gameplay – a move which will either impress or disappoint gamers, depending how fresh the experience is for you.
You lead a team of four highly trained special ops men into hot zones around Vegas, including, but not limited to, casinos, schools, and other incredibly detailed environments, in a bid to restore law and order and save the lives of innocent civilians.
The star feature of the gameplay, like its predecessor, is the covering system that enables your player to take cover behind a wall with relative ease.
From this position you can move out and aim for the heads of terrorists scum, or if the firefight is too much, you can blind fire to suppress the enemy’s attack.
Of course, if gunfire becomes boring you can always lob a frag, smoke or breach grenade, and if you are more daring, a stick of C4 that can be remotely detonated.
Online play is available for your traditional deathmatch style games, but the multiplayer gem in Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is the cooperative mode – both online and offline.
E-Talk is proud to say that Rainbow Six Vegas 2 includes a two-player split-screen cooperative mode, meaning you and a mate can gather around a television in some of the best multiplayer shoot fun since Goldeneye on the Nintendo 64.
There’s nothing more rewarding than taking out terrorists together.
Overall, Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is a fantastic game in all aspects that borrows heavily from its predecessor, but rightly so, as the formula is nigh on perfect.
