YOUNGSTERS at Doveton Heights Primary School hit the road recently – all in the name of traffic safety.
City of Casey school crossing supervisor Maureen Shortt visited the school and spoke to prep, grade one and two students about what to do at a school crossing.
Ms Shortt told students about the important role of the crossing supervisors and other road safety tips.
The service was provided free by the City of Casey.
Assistant principal Elene Archbold said the children gained a good understanding of road safety through the hands-on activities and information they were given.
