All 440 students have been working with art teacher Michelle Findlay for months to produce their beautiful pieces and each child was represented in an eclectic range of subjects and media.
As visitors entered the logcabinlike display they were drawn towards the cavernous owl haven, with eggcarton yellow owl eyes looming out of the dimness.
Refinement, tranquillity and contemplation were features of the elegant Japanese washi dolls display.
In dramatic contrast there was lively music, colour and movement in the nearby circus exhibit.
The next display, by older children, transported the visitors to the world of medical science with 3D representations of body systems.
An unexpected crowd favourite was the Chess display with embossed metallic knights forming a chequerboard border.
The Farm Corner was a delightful melding of Grades 2 and 3 farm animals romping amongst the Prep’s Veggie Patch.
The Lion King display showed how stage performances can influence and stimulate children’s creativity.
Other highlights included painted library bags, with the artist’s biography pinned to each, butterflies, dinosaurs and pokerwork placemats, reading rocks and stuffed stocking faces.
