PREPARATIONS are underway for this year’s Bosom Buddies Ball.
The 14th annual Bosom Buddies Ball will be held on Saturday 23 August at the Grand Hyatt in Melbourne.
The Bosom Buddies Breast Cancer Foundation and the Rotary Club of Berwick will be hosting the black tie charity event, with funds raised going towards breast cancer research at the Burnet Institute.
The event will kick off at 7pm with the theme of New Orleans and All That Jazz.
Television star George Donikian will be the official master of ceremonies.
Guests will enjoy a three-course meal while being entertained by cover and dance band, Dejavu.
The evening will feature a major auction and several silent auction items presented by celebrity auctioneer Bill Wellwood.
Guests will also get the chance to win an exquisite diamond ring from the Australian Diamond Company.
In the past, the major auction has included items such as ski holidays, motor vehicles, thrill seeker packages, dinner cruises and ultimate dining experiences while the silent auctions can include digital cameras, electrical products, entertainment tickets and signed celebrity memorabilia.
Tickets for the charity ball cost $165 per person.
The Bosom Buddies Ball is regarded as one of the best charity balls in Melbourne and aims to raise over $150,000 from the night.
