Fitness fundraiser held

MORE than 380 students from a Narre Warren South school donned their running shoes for a fitness fundraiser on Monday.

Teacher Marizanne Stark said the staff at the Heritage College wanted to run a fundraiser that promoted positive health choices to students.
“We certainly didn’t want to do a traditional chocolate bar drive,” she said.
The aim of the day was to encourage students to enjoy outdoor activities while promoting a healthy active lifestyle.
Students received sponsorship donations from family and friends in a bid to help the school raise more than $5000. The funds raised will go towards purchasing digital cameras for the classrooms.
