ANIMAL lovers can see piglets aplenty with the recent birth of 28 at Myuna Farm in Doveton.
The new arrivals join 11 kids, which were born two months ago.
Casey manager of arts and leisure Robyn Bowen said:
“The sows have been wonderful mothers and have been lapping up the attention from visitors to the farm.”
Myuna Farm provides a hands-on learning experience, with an animal display centre, where children can pat the piglets and baby goats.
Other activities include a wetlands nature walk, bird aviary visits as well as barbecue and picnic facilities.
“Myuna Farm is perfect for people of all ages and abilities and is a great location for a birthday party, fun family day out or school tour,” she said.
“Because it’s a working community farm, visitors can experience hands-on contact with a variety of animals and learn about farming life.”
A recent addition to Myuna Farm is the new train carriage specially designed to transport children and adults using wheelchairs around the farm and to the wetlands.
Myuna Farm is located at 182 Kidds Road, Doveton and is also home to the Myuna Market, which is held every Thursday from 4-6pm.
The farm is open Monday to Sunday from 10am–4pm and entry costs $17 for families or $5.50 for singles.
The train ride costs $2 per person and pony rides cost $1.50 per person.
