Eight charged after police drug bust

CASEY police have charged eight men and women after last Friday’s drug bust following a six-month investigation called Operation Bendys.
Acting Sergeant Phil Ross said the Casey Response Unit and Casey CIU charged eight people with drug offences after issuing search warrants in Narre Warren, Cranbourne and Chelsea Heights.
Police seized heroin and cannabis.
Two men, a 20-year-old from Narre Warren and 40-year-old from Cranbourne have been charged with trafficking and possession of drugs. A 54-year-old Chelsea woman has been charged with trafficking and possession of drugs while a 35-year-old woman from Cranbourne has been charged with trafficking, using and possession of drugs.
A Cranbourne man, 28, has been charged with possession and using drugs and a 38-year-old Cranbourne woman has been charged with drug trafficking, possession and using drugs.
A 35-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man from Seaford have been charged with minor drug offences.
