Church provides an alternative service

SENIOR pastors, Wayne and Ruth Swift see today’s world as fast paced and full.
“That is why Highway Christian Church is venturing on a bold new move to provide church services at a time other than the traditional Sunday service,” they said.
“Catering for busy families and an around-the-clock working generation, Highway enjoys the experience of church in the local area on Thursday nights.”
Wayne and Ruth said Highway was focused on assisting people in their search for God and helping them along the journey.
“Providing church in another timeslot enables people to attend church perhaps for the very first time without taking from other commitments, responsibilities and family time,” they said.
Wayne and Ruth have a great desire to help people of all ages add further dimension and vitality to their lives.
“The growth of every person in their faith, in their relationships and in their desire to help our local community is of highest priority,” they said.
Highway will be taking part in a stall at the Akoonah Park Market on Sunday, 16 November so people can find out more about the church and the people involved.
Highway at Berwick meets in the auditorium of the Chisholm Institute of TAFE (Building A) on Kangan Drive every Thursday night.
The service begins at 7.30pm with tea and coffee available from 7pm.
A children’s program is also provided during the service.
