Grants break down borders

GRANTS for sporting clubs are now available through the Sports Without Borders Foundation.
The Sports Without Borders Foundation aims to provide funding pathways, direct financial support, training and mentor programs, and sponsorship contacts to refugee and migrant communities.
South Eastern Metropolitan Region MP Inga Peulich said the grants were available to assist young people from newly arrived refugee and first and second generation migrant backgrounds integrate into their local communities through participation in sport.
The grants will allow clubs to purchase sporting goods such as equipment and uniforms, payment of sporting club memberships, travel expenses, financial assistance for participation in sporting programs and the training, education and mentoring for club volunteers.
For more information about the grants call the office of Inga Peulich on 9772 1366.
