HAMPTON Park Bowls Club enjoyed another good week, with four wins and two losses, and each winning side now holds a top-four position in their respective division.
The Parkers’ VLBA Division A2 team went to Edithvale and was outplayed across the board, going down by 45 shots.
But Hampton Park scraped past Mordialloc by five shots in an interesting night pennant game.
Willi Hofer, Vince Kovacic, Christine Hendrie and skip Geoff Ladner finished strongly to win by eight shots.
Nola Fleming, Sean McDonald, Geoff Ampt and skip Neville Hendrie came from 11 shots down to draw, while Lino Da Pos, Lance Davis, Andrew Brandolin and skip Graham Slight lost by just three.
Hampton Park 9/60 d Mordialloc 3/55.
The Parkers played Blackburn in RVBA Division Four action at Mt Waverley and got up by 10 shots.
Les Unwin, Jeff Crozier, Geoff Ampt and skip Neville Hendrie won by 10 shots.
Vince Kovacic, Zac Storm, Andrew Brandolin and skip Lionel Williams scored a seven on the second last end to win by five shots.
Fred McBrian, Larry Simpson, Geoff Ladner and skip Graham Slight dropped two ends of five shots and still got up by four.
Pat Moevasa, Lance Davis, Ken Cobden and skip Bob Woodfield were level at the tea break, but ultimately went down by nine shots.

Hampton Park (2) won all rinks to smash top side Mulgrave Country Club (6) by 89 shots in Division Six.
Gerry Cox, Allan Unwin, Bob Nicol and skip Bob Naismith were victorious by 15 shots, while Arthur Parish, Alan Wilcock, Allan March and skip Bill Webb got up on the last two ends by three shots.
Ray Wood, Jim Westwell, Sean McDonald and skip Greg Pentland had a massive win, and Bob Meaney, Jos Van Hout, Nick Wings and skip Rob Woff dominated in a 22-shot success.
Hampton Park (2) 18/140 d Mulgrave Country Club (6) 0/51.
A lack of experience was the key factor in the Parkers’ 50-shot loss to EMRSL/Ashburton at Narre Warren.
Dot Carr, Willi Hofer, Lino Da Pos and skip Werner Melzer played well, but lost by six shots, while Rico Storm, Rhonda Diaper, Bruce Pointon and skip Brian Diaper found the going tough in a 22-shot defeat.
Rayden Storm, Rudy Oost, Allan Meziedis and skip Leo Winters, and Len Bell, C. Shultz, June Damon and skip Keith McCarthy also went down.
EMRSL/Ashburton 18/119 d Hampton Park (3) 0/69.
The Parkers knocked off top side City of Frankston (2) by eight shots in VLBA Division 2 on Saturday.
Traci Storm, Gwen Clough, Heather Naismith and skip Helen Lambert lost by two shots, but Gail Williams, Ann Westwell, Ellen Smith and skip Christine Hendrie pulled away to finish 10 shots up. Hampton Park 2/46 d City of Frankston (2) 0/38.
