Vehicle impounded

A 20-YEAR-OLD Hallam man has had his car impounded after having being clocked driving at more than 50 kilometres over the speed limit.
He was detected travelling at 157km/h in a 100km/h zone on the Princes Freeway, Pakenham at 7.20am Tuesday morning. The vehicle was also found to have two bald tyres and missing a wheel nut and will now be impounded for 48 hours.
The driver was the holder of a suspended probationary licence and is being charged on summons with driving at a dangerous speed, exceeding the speed limit, driving an unsafe motor vehicle and driving while suspended.
