A NARRE Warren man, 53, has been charged with conspiracy to kidnap, conspiracy to hijack a truck and conspiracy to assault a driver.
Victoria Police Crime Department detectives said they were confident a major sting operation on 26 November prevented the hijacking of a truck carrying $1.6 million worth of cigarettes and the kidnapping of the driver.
A Rowville man, 44, was also charged and a 29-year-old man has been released pending further inquiries.
