A NARRE Warren photographer has snapped his way to winning the La Trobe Photographic Competition.
Steven Taylor won the overall competition, which is run by La Trobe MP Jason Wood, with a unique photograph of bright and colourful bus shelters in Boronia.
The 26-year-old won the prize of a return trip for two to Canberra.
Mr Taylor told the News his passion for photography began after he broke his back riding a BMX bike more than five years ago.
The self-taught photographer said he enjoys shooting photos of BMX bikes and riders, having his photographs featured in every Australian BMX magazine.
This year marks the first time Mr Wood has run the competition, which aims to bring the community together by capturing its people and precious environment.
