These lights are special

NEIGHBOURS in three houses created a festive display featuring thousands of lights, animations and many attractions to spread Christmas cheer and raise money for Very Special Kids, an organisation aiming to help care for ill children and their families.
Veronica Hill said she and herneighbours first created the WinterWonderland eight years ago and thedisplay grew every year.
“It started out with just having a few lights, but it keeps getting bigger and bigger every year,” she said.
“There is a lot of entertainment for all ages. We have lights, snow scenes, bubbles, push-button activities, inflatable igloos with pop-up penguins, a Ferris wheel, carousel, a Santa that sings, and much more.”
Families, couples, and busloads of seniors view the display every year, Ms Hill said.
“People come and stay all night. Buses from the seniors homes come here and some seniors get out and walk around and some just view the lights from the bus,” she said.
“We have many people that have come every year for several years. It’s sad to see them go at the end of the day.”
Ms Hill encourages everyone to view the lights and make a donation in the pink pig at the display. Proceeds go to the Very Special Kids organisation.
The lights can be viewed every night throughout December from 8.30pm until midnight. The Melway reference is 90 K9.
