$1m for Clyde Road study

ONE MILLION dollars has been allocated to investigate duplication of Clyde Road in Berwick.
The Victorian Transport Plan, released this month by the State Government, has announced the funds to investigate duplication of Clyde Road between High Street and Kangan Drive.
The plan also mentions “possible improvements” to the High Street and Clyde Road intersection, and a potential grade separation of the railway line.
Clyde Road, an entrance to Berwick Village and an important access road for Monash University, Chisholm Institute, Casey Hospital and Beaconhills College, has been the cause of traffic congestion for years.
The $1 million is part of $1.9 billion allocated to outer-suburban arterial roads. The Transport Plan does not mention a time frame for the Clyde Road investigation.
