FAMILIES flocked to the Max Pawsey Reserve on Christmas Eve to celebrate the 33rd Casey Carols by Twilight.
The Christmas event, which was presented by the Berwick Church of Christ and the Casey City Church, attracted crowds of more than 5000.
Guests sang along to the traditional carols, which kicked off at 8pm, while children enjoyed the jumping castle and a special visit from Santa, supported by the Narre Warren Fire Brigade.
The fireworks display wowed crowds from 9.20pm.
Organiser Lisa Thomas dubbed the event as a success.
“The crowds were well behaved. It was a real family event,” she said.
