Couples in a spin for rock

DANCERS will be jiving the night away during a rock ’n’ roll competition at the Arthur Wren Hall in Hampton Park on 25 January.
The event will be held from 7.30pm to 12.30am, with Flashback the band and DJ Jeff spinning the tunes.
Judges from the Victorian Rock ’n’ Roll Dancing Association will select a winner in the rock ’n’ roll and jive competitions.
The winning couple will receive a trophy and $200, while the runners-up will receive a trophy and $100.
No lifts or jumps are allowed in the competition.
Tickets cost $15 a person, and $8 for children aged eight to 16 years.
BYO drinks and food.
The Arthur Wren Hall is on Stuart Avenue in Hampton Park.
