FIREFIGHTERS are calling on the community to support a fundraiser to raise money for volunteer training.
The fundraiser, run by Dulux and Bunnings Warehouse Cranbourne, will run until 30 January.
Bunnings Warehouse and Dulux will donate five dollars from every can of eight litre Wash & Wear 101, six litre Weathershield or four litre 1 Step paint purchased from the store to the Country Fire Authority for volunteer training.
Since the campaign launch in 2003, more than $1.3 million has been donated to fire volunteers across Australia.
Funds raised allow fire and emergency service volunteers from across Australia to attend the Volunteer Leaders Program, a five-day intensive training course that aims to develop leadership potential within the volunteer services.
Bunnings Warehouse Cranbourne is located at 1205 Thomsons Road, corner of South Gippsland Highway, in Cranbourne.
