FAMILIES battled rising temperatures on Australia Day by having a dip in the Doveton Pool in the Park.
More than 450 children, aged from 12 months to 17 years, and their families attended the Tristania Street complex on Monday and enjoyed the waterslides, swimming pools and splash park.
Families also took advantage of the community barbecues and celebrated Australia Day with a traditional barbecue lunch.
