TWO fire fighters were treated with heat exhaustion after battling a grass fire in Hallam last Thursday.
Fire crews from Berwick, Narre Warren, Hampton Park and Hallam kept the grass fire at the JJ Richards and Sons waste management facility under control, according to Hallam fire officer, Don Tomkins.
Mr Tomkins said the fire had started in the grasslands at the back of the David Lee Road property, causing a threat to factories along Star Crescent.
Police blocked off a section of Star Crescent, near the back of the factory, while fire fighters fought to control the fire.
No damage was caused.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
