CRANBOURNE bowlers bounced back in the hot conditions to comfortably dispose of Heathmont by 20 shots in round 15 of Metro Pennant Bowls.
Cranbourne relished the conditions to win all four rinks and take full points.
Brian Gay’s rink was in charge all day, recording a 10-shot win with brilliant bowling.
Peter Elgar’s rink was steady throughout the match and the rinks of Lyn Quigg and Ray Travica finished strongly to snatch victory on the final ends.
Scores: Cranbourne 103 d Heathmont 83. L. Quigg 27-25; B. Gay 30-20; R. Travica 20-17; P. Elgar 26-21.
Cranbourne (2) posted a 19-shot win over Berwick to ensure it will be a big contender for the final four.
Cranbourne won two of the four rinks, with steady skip John Pentreath leading the way with his rink to overwhelm their opponents by 17 shots.
Skip Glen Imeson was at his aggressive best to lift his rink to a 15-shot victory that ensured overall victory.

Cranbourne (3) claimed a 28-shot success over Sandringham to maintain its slim finals’ hopes.
The rinks of Stan Burnett and Mike Noa were in charge throughout their matches to both win by margins of 16 shots.
Wally Ballard’s rink flew home to snatch a draw and earn one point.

Cranbourne (4) battled past a persistent Blackburn side by 28 shots.
Matt Boltong’s rink continues to destroy its opponents and this week won the club award with a 24-shot margin.
Scores: Cranbourne 110 d Blackburn 82. M. Boltong 37-13; R. Roscoe 27-17; A. Dennis 21-31; G. Ljepojevic 25-21.
Ladder leader Cranbourne (5) won two of its four rinks, but lost by 13 shots to Narre Warren.
Cranbourne won well on the rinks of John MacInnes and Sofio Raiti, but dropped the other two rinks by bigger margins.
Scores: Narre Warren 101 d Cranbourne 88. M. Eames 14-28; J. MacInnes 27-22; L. Patterson 18-28; S. Raiti 29-23.
Cranbourne journeyed to Keysborough in hot conditions, but came home with a nine-shot win in Ladies’ Pennant.
Cranbourne won two of the four rinks, with Thelma Lennan’s and Kath Dudink’s rinks winning well with margins of five and 11 shots respectively.
