STUDENTS and teachers at a Narre Warren South school have raised $4225 for the victims of the Victorian bushfires by holding ‘free-dress’ Friday.
More than 390 students at Heritage College donned casual clothing last Friday and rallied to support the fundraiser for the Red Cross appeal.
Principal Mike Dye encouraged the students, parents and staff to “dig deep” as it was no ordinary gold coin free-dress day.
The school accepted coins, notes, cheques, and EFTPOS and credit card donations.
