Shae Schnautz, of Narre Warren South, and Rhiannon Chadwick, of Cranbourne West, both 13, raised the cash by having their photos taken at the Langbourne Drive fundraiser on Saturday.
Shae’s mum, Jackie, donated $1 for every photo taken of the girls.
“The fundraiser had a big turn out,” Ms Schnautz said.
“The girls were like celebrities, everybody got into the spirit of things.”
She said the girls wanted to help the victims and came up with the idea on their own.
“They really wanted to contribute to the cause,” Jackie said.
“I’m really proud of the way they went about it.”
