LOVE was in the air last weekend as people celebrated Valentine’s Day.
Select Flowers in Westfield Fountain Gate had four staff working 12-hour shifts in the lead-up to the big day on Saturday.
Manager Debbie Abela said the store was open from 7am to 5.30pm on Valentine’s Day.
Some of the hot Valentine’s Day items included teddy bears, balloons and red roses.
“Valentine’s Day is the busiest day for a florist, with Mothers’ Day just behind,” she said.
Ms Abela, who has been managing the store for three years, said they only had a couple of red rose bouquets left after the rush.
