THE Casey-Cardinia Library Corporation is running a series of free seminars to educate the community about the online world.
The Narre Warren Library will be holding the Web 2.0 – Sharing and Interacting on the Web workshop on Thursday 12 March from 10.30am to 11.30am.
Participants will take a tour through popular internet sites including Facebook, Myspace, YouTube and Wikipedia.
A history librarian will also be running an Australian Family History session at the Hampton Park Library on Wednesday 18 March from 6.30pm to 7.30pm, where participants will learn how to trace their Australian ancestors.
The workshop will cover accessing resources such as births, deaths and marriage records and the ancestry database.
Some of the other sessions planned for the year include buying and selling on eBay, what’s new in Google, how to access subscription databases, and how to search, find and reserve items in the Library catalogue.
