Cranbourne meets Burwood District at Burwood this Saturday.
Croydon got away to a good start at Cranbourne to lead early, but the local side settled down and fought its way back to earn victory.
Lyn Quigg’s rink served Cranbourne well again in a 12-shot success.
Ray Travica’s rink was also impressive, while Brian Gay’s rink finished well to tie.

Cranbourne (2) suffered a disappointing one-shot loss to Mulgrave Country Club (MCC), but its third placing still booked it a spot in the finals.
Cranbourne performed well, but couldn’t shake off a determined MCC side, despite splitting the four rinks.
John Pentreath’s team was the big winner with a nine-shot margin.

A consistent Parkdale squad outplayed Cranbourne (3) by 17 shots last weekend.
Cranbourne won two rinks with Mike Noa and Stan Burnett winning by nine and two shots respectively, but their side will not contest finals.

Cranbourne (4) lost to Balmoral Gardens by a single shot after looking an easy winner after 64 ends.
The Gardens snatched the lead before hanging on for a narrow win over its finals-bound opponent.
Allan Dennis’ rink was the big victor by 20 shots, while Des Conroy’s rink finished eight shots ahead after leading all day.

Cranbourne (5) fell 15 shots short against Oakleigh last Saturday. Skips Len Patterson and Rob Sorensen with margins of eight and one shots respectively, with their efforts placing Cranbourne second after the home-and-away season.

Cranbourne (6) was down on firepower in its match against Caulfield Park and was beaten comfortably by 20 shots.
The team had only one winning rink, that of Lou Magri, who won by 19 shots in a great exhibition.
Cranbourne still finished on top and will play its final at Cranbourne on Saturday.

Meanwhile, there was no play in the Ladies’ Pennant competition last week due to the Ladies’ Australian Championships in Victoria.
