Arecord breaking show

The Show was deemed a success, despite a few last-minute changes.
Equestrian events were planned to take place over three days for the first time this year, but Friday’s classes were postponed in the face of extreme weather conditions.
A fireworks display planned for Saturday night was scrapped after the show committee met with the CFA recently.
Berwick and District Agricultural and Horticultural Society secretary Mike Vallence said Madagascar 2, Humphrey B Bear, and police band Code One were all popular with the large crowds.
“There were no reported problems with traffic, and the shuttle bus worked extremely well, going to Berwick Village for the first time this year. Last year 12 people used it; this year it was about 600,” he said.
But even with all their hard work over the past year, the Berwick show committee will have no rest – Mr Vallence said they have already started preparing for next year’s Berwick Show.
