RISING stars with local roots will entertain crowds at the Tooradin Pub this Saturday.
Australian Idol contestant (2008) Sophie Paterson, award-winning duo Ginja Roe, and popular cousins Regan and Brendon Morehu will swoon crowds while contributing to bushfire fundraising efforts at the Tooradin Fire Appeal.
There Sophie performed hit covers from popular bands including ABBA, The Potbelleez, and Silverchair.
Award-winning duo Ginja Roe will reunite for a final performance at the event. Performers Pam Wouters and Meg Doherty will sing crowd favourites from their four years of musical collections.
Their popular folk, country, and rocking blues melodies have led the pair, who were born in Pakenham, to perform for major crowds at Tamworth Country Music Festival and Echuca Winter Blues Festival.
Cousins Regan Morehu and Brendon Morehu, also both born in Pakenham, are joining forces Saturday night to rock the crowd with popular covers from Kings of Lean, Powderfinger, the Fray and other hit mainstream artists.
The Tooradin Fire Appeal will also feature a silent auction containing sports memorabilia and raffles.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the door.
The entry fee as well as $5 from every main meal purchased will be donated to the Tooradin Fire Brigade and two bushfire victims.
Entertainment will run from 7pm until 1am.
