TEACHERS and students at Brentwood Park Primary School wore orange last week and banded together to form a map of Australia on the oval to celebrate Harmony Day.
As schools across Victoria held various activities to mark Cultural Diversity Week, students at the Berwick school created the map to symbolise inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.
Harmony Day is a day to celebrate a commitment to harmony and mutual respect in a culturally diverse nation. During Cultural Diversity Week the school also marked the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on 21 March.
