Silver Reasons strikes gold

By Kelly Yates
CASEY based rockers Silver Reasons are gearing up to perform at the Casey Cares fundraising bushfire benefit concert on Saturday 4 April.
With new lead singer Alysha Black joining band members Adrian Szostek, Chris Burke, Carlos Peregin and Darren Keane, Silver Reasons will be taking centre stage at the charity event at 5pm.
Silver Reasons guitarists Chris and Carlos said the band felt rejuvenated after adding Alysha to the mix.
“As the old saying goes when one door closes another one opens,” the band said. “The spring is back in our step.”
Alysha, 19, recently moved to Melbourne from the Gold Coast to pursue her musical dream.
She said she was stoked to be a part of the band.
“I hit it off with the guys and their music in the first few minutes,” she said. “I was impressed by their all-round talent and can’t wait to hit the stage with them.”
The singer-songwriter has punchy passionate vocals, a mind for lyrical quality and a unique character presence.
She has also placed highly in many singing competitions and made several television appearances.
Some of the band’s upcoming performances include Spencer’s Live on Saturday 9 and 23 May and The Central Hotel in Beaconsfield on Friday 22 May.
Bass player Adrian Szostec said the band would be focussing on combining both Alysha’s songs with Silver Reasons’ hits as well as writing material for a new EP, which is planned to be released later this year.
Silver Reasons won the 2007 Battle of the Bands contest.
