MORE than 200 pamper packs have been distributed to fire affected families, thanks to generous donations made to the Upper Beaconsfield Country Women’s Association.
The CWA branch gave away 220 packs, consisting of $15,000 of goods, to those affected by the Bunyip Ridge, Traralgon South, Narre Warren North and Narre Warren South fires.
Barbara Reid, secretary Woorinyan at Upper Beaconsfield CWA, said the organisation – which collected goods at a stall outside Safeway Fountain Gate – was overwhelmed by the generosity of the public.
“We asked people to donate toiletries and the response was fantastic,” she said.
The pamper packs included items such as toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, shavers and tissues.
