Narre rewards little athletes

IT was awards aplenty when Narre Warren Little Athletics Club held its annual general meeting and trophy presentation evening at Max Pawsey Reserve last Thursday.
Dandenong Little Athletics Centre president Des Platten chaired the AGM that saw Steve Fenton re-elected as club president.
Next year’s committee will be filled with both new and familiar faces.
Narre Warren life member Margaret Lowe presented the Don Lowe Junior Clubperson award to Stefanie Fenton for the second year in a row.
Past parent and now grandparent to a Narre Warren athlete Greg Farley won the Hendy Family Award for adult clubperson.
Farley is also one of the club’s committee members.
Under-seven girl Ellie Keen and under-six boy Zach Matthews won the Farley Family Award for the best first-year athletes in their respective genders.
State representatives Nathan Kirk, Katelyn Cox, Stefanie Fenton, Maddison Fenton and Christopher Fenton were also presented with a special club medal for their efforts.
First place age group winners were Stefanie Fenton, Rhea Ferrier, Maddison Fenton, Katelyn Cox, Ebony Platten, Bridget Dilorenzo, Brianna Napoleon, Ellie Keen, Olivia Brown, Jayden Brown, Nathan Kirk, Kane Denmead, Luke Coad, Christopher Fenton, James Dilorenzo, Jake Johansson, Joshua Booker and Aden Wylie.
Annalyce Dunn, Tiarnii Savage, Megan Fisher, Stephanie Clayton, Ashlee Ann Faulkner, Emily Dilorenzo, Seda Aycicek, Emma Bloomfield, Oceana Bloxidge, Jonathan Ergnini, Johnny Cayhan, Christopher Sherry, James Veitch, Mitchell Khawli, Bradley Hall, Zach Matthews and Tyler Laing were runners-up in their respective age groups.
Star award winners were Kate Brown, Monica Ergnini, Emily Di Carlo, Kylie Lawson, Alyssa D’Amelio, Sergen Aycicek, Liam Kirk, Corey Kirk, Nathan Dowler, Mark McLean, Malcolm Elliot, Tyler Kirk and PJ Serafino.
Melina McCallum-O’Dea, Cassie Knowles, Seren Aycicek, Hanna Delgado, Chloe Khawli, Tanisha Smith, Hayley Coad, Liana Serafino, Charli Faulkner, Jaylan Cayhan, Patti Faulkner, Thomas Di Carlo, Fred Faulkner, Ethan Dunn, Ryan Coad, and Nikola Ilic were the participation award recipients.
