A DOVETON man who created a replica of the Delorean Time Machine vehicle from the Back to the Future movies took part in last week’s Good Friday Appeal at the Etihad Stadium in Melbourne.
Braun Mennusko told the News he dressed up as the mad scientist Doc Braun from the trilogy and posed with his time machine in an effort to raise money for the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.
“I did time travel experiments and demonstrations during the day,” Mr Mennusko said.
“I had tons of serious car buffs come up for a normal one-to-one car conversation as well as the endless number of fans who wanted to see my time machine demonstrations and all of the equipment.”
The real vehicle made of fibre -glass has stainless steel panels.
The 44-year-old donated his time for the event to help those in need.
“I have a cancer problem in the family so I’m making the most of every day and living all the dreams I can,” he said.
“I met a lot of sick people with life threatening illnesses and went out of my way to make their day.”
