ABOUT 1000 people attended the second annual Culture Day hosted by St Paul Apostle North Primary School.
Students from Prep to Grade 6 donned traditional outfits and entertained audiences with performances representing about 20 cultures.
“All 350 students participated, and each culture in our school was represented,” Grade 2 teacher Kay Robinson said.
Audiences were entertained with a variety of performances, including Irish dancing, a Bollywood dance, a recital to the Australian Bush song, and Elvis Presley.
Ms Robinson said students and parents did months of preparation for the event by gathering cultural artefacts and organising appropriate outfits.
“There was a display of beautiful blown glass work, pictures and art,” she said.
“Everyone put a lot of work into it. It was a fantastic day.”
