FORMER footy great Michael Tuck and Paralympian Ellie Cole joined Casey residents to celebrate the opening of a new one-stop health management centre in Narre Warren North.
Elise Palmer, 26, opened Full Circle Health Management to help residents reach their health and fitness goals.
“People said there was a need for this service in the community,” Ms Palmer said.
“Everyone has been really welcoming, and the feedback has been extremely positive.”
After working in Mt Eliza, the grand-daughter of City of Berwick’s first mayor Keith Wishart moved back to her roots in an attempt to benefit Casey residents.
In an effort to provide a community feel, Ms Palmer employs skilled workers who live within 20 minutes of the centre.
They offer patrons a variety of services including massage, trigger point therapy, and cupping, which is popular with star athletes and Hollywood celebrities.
“Cupping is essentially an upside down massage which brings toxins to the surface,” Ms Palmer said.
“We also offer myofascial needling, which is different from acupuncture and traditional Chinese Medicine. We also provide nutritional information and have a studio gym which should help people achieve their goals.”
Ms Palmer said she encouraged people of all ages to access the service.
“It’s never too late to start,” she said. “Families with teenage children are coming in to find information the whole family can use, and to work together to have healthy lifestyle habits.”
Ms Palmer said she hoped the centre would expand its services in the future.
She hoped to employ a chiropractor to enhance the services already offered at the centre, as well as implement a mothers’ group and educate the public about basic first aid.
