Sandra laid to rest

COLOURFUL balloons were released at a Berwick school last week in honour of 11-year-old Sandra Paige Iredale who was killed after being involved in a collision on 23 April.
The Berwick Lodge Primary School student was farewelled with an emotional tribute ceremony at the school on Friday following the funeral service at St Michaels Catholic Church in Berwick.
The students sobbed, while teachers handed out tissues as the funeral cortege drove through the school gates and onto the basketball court.
Sandra’s parents, Scott and Anna Iredale, and her brother, Matthew, also released balloons as they watched the school community say goodbye to their daughter.
