Federal funds for Berwick basketball stadium

CONSTRUCTION of the Timbarra Estate Basketball Stadium in Berwick is a step closer after receiving a $2.2 million funding from the Australian Government. The new complex will include a two-court indoor basketball facility with change rooms and a multi purpose room.A further court will be added as part of the recent announcement by the State Government to build the Timbarra Secondary School for students from Year 7 – 9. According to Senator Jacinta Collins, the high priority need for the project was identified in the Narre Warren and Environs Recreation Facilities Study.
