SEVENTY-five Berwick residents joined their local Solar Neighbourhood since March, taking advantage of discounted solar panel installations.
“This is a great example of residents working together to achieve sustainable, long-term benefits,” Berwick Solar Neighbourhood co-ordinator Rob Campbell said. “I hope this is just the start of a new green revolution.”
The Berwick project was run in conjunction with Pakenham Solar Neighbourhood and supported by Casey Councillor Lynette Keleher. Mr Campbell said he and Cr Keleher decided to run the project in Cranbourne last month after interest in Berwick and Pakenham.
