A BERWICK man had a serious case of beginner’s luck when he scrapped his own numbers and invested in a Quick Pick at Berwick Lotto last week.
The middle-aged man won first division in Tattersall’s Thursday night draw, Powerball, taking home a cool $6.6 million.
Owner of Berwick Lotto & Jewellery, Murray Mortaruolo, said he and his staff were ecstatic when they heard of the win.
“When you sell something of that sort of dimension, and you know the customer – it’s a feeling just short of winning it yourself.”
The win is the third first division prize Mr Mortaruolo’s businesses have sold in the past six months, and the 25th sold by Berwick Lotto a Jewellery.
