A HALLAM couple have been recognised for their volunteering efforts with the Narre Warren Little Athletics Club.
Kerry and Steve Fenton were both nominated for last month’s Casey Community Volunteer Awards.
Mrs Fenton said she felt honoured about the nomination.
The couple, who have been living in Hallam for 22 years, were made life members of the club last year.
Mr Fenton has been president for the past four years.
The couple spend every Saturday morning, during the track and field season, helping run the Narre Warren Little Athletics Club.
“We do it for the kids in the area so they can have an athletics club that keeps running,” Mrs Fenton said.
“All four of our children have taken part in little athletics,”she said.
Mrs Fenton is also the school council president at Hallam Primary School.
