Regal players rule

Basketballer Kailen suits up for the Lynbrook Knights on Tuesday nights and enjoys scoring points and keeping fit.
His favourite teams are the Dandenong Rangers and the Melbourne Tigers.
St Agatha’s Primary School player Jessica is a basketball fanatic.
The Grade 6 student plays four times a week, including twice on Saturdays and has also competed in the National Junior Classic and Junior Victoria Championship.
Jessica idolises Dandenong Rangers stars Caitlyn Ryan and the recently retired Emily McInerny.
Tamzyn has only been playing netball for a year, but has already developed an appetite for goals.
She takes to the court once a week and supports the Melbourne Vixens.
Meanwhile, Tahlia Johnson is this month’s recipient of the basketball referee award.
Tahlia was always interested in the officiating side of the game and now referees four days a week.
“I prefer seniors because I like being on my feet and I tend to do better in those games,” she said.
