FOUNTAIN Gate Primary School students will be perfecting their sporting skills in the school’s new gymnasium.
Holt MP Anthony Byrne has announced that the Narre Warren school will receive the new sporting area as part of the Rudd Government’s Primary Schools for the 21st Century Program.
The school has been funded $3 million to construct the new complex.
According to Mr Byrne, the gymnasium will be available for community use, providing a new sporting facility in the local area.
Fountain Gate Primary School principal Jenny Duggan said the facilities would enable the school to deliver a greater range of programs in a flexible and responsive way.
The Primary Schools for the 21st Century Program delivers funding to primary schools for major infrastructure projects, including new libraries, multi-purpose halls and classrooms.
