A feast of fun

By Jaimee Damon
THE carnival came to town on Thursday 18 June for students of St Francis Xavier College.
The college’s Berwick campus held its annual fundraising effort to raise money for the Bishop’s Family Foundation.
The students were treated to fun activities including a jumping castle, dunking machine, talent show and carnival games.
One lucky winner of the carnival’s raffle received four Medallion tickets to an AFL game later in the year.
The carnival raised $4000 to hand over to the Bishop’s Family Foundation.
St Francis Schneider House co-ordinator Timothy O’Meara said the carnival raised the most out of any of the college’s previous fundraisers.
The Foundation supports local families in crisis throughout the Catholic Diocese of Sale, which incorporates the parishes of Narre Warren, Berwick and Pakenham.
